Hi, in my oppinion this page does not belong in here. I always thought this is an encyclopadia and not a place to distribute a cataloque of games. In my oppinion the owner only tries to distribute these games. If the owner has realy information on the categorie video game then please write it. But do not put any kind of grab stuff in here. Either the writer has never opened a encyclopedia and he/she does not know what belongs in here or he/she tries to misuse wikipedia for his personal stuff. Berwein 11:00, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

- Hmm, if it's commercial in nature, it is so badly done that I didn't even notice it the first time around - no external links in the lists themselves, no indication as to where the catalog numbers can be used to actually order anything. Would cleaning up the external links on the first page and removing the catalog numbers do? I still think the list in and of itself is keep-worthy -- Ferkelparade π 20:39, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I was referring to the 8 external links. The content of the article itself is kind of an organizational page, like a glorified disambig, but then there are the 8 external sites, which seem to all be proprietary/commercial sites for getting video game music. The idea of a page of pages itself troubles me. I know that others exist, but I don't think they really ought to. It would be far better if Video game music had a "see also" with the pages. There is something organizationally disturbing and sloppy about a List article that is really just a portal to an internal Wikipedia (? project?). Geogre 22:59, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Umm...are we voting on the whole set of list articles, or just on the portal page? I assumed the former since the nominator seems to disagree with the existence of the list and since all the list articles also have a VfD header - if we're in fact just voting on the portal page, I'll change my vote - I completely agree that this is not the best way to organize a list -- Ferkelparade π 23:35, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Aha! I see what you mean. No, I would not vote delete on all those pages, and I don't think it's possible (hope not) to list "all" of anything like that (remembering the agony of previous instances where, for example, every single Pumpie of a night had to be listed separately, and voted on separately). - This is a project that User:ShaunMacPherson has been working on since at least Sep 2004. While I don't understand the fascination with lists, we do usually keep them. I don't see anything inappropriately commercial about this. I'd prefer a merge and redirect of the portal page to Video game music but that is a somewhat long article already. - Delete Commercial links are a really great thing, but has anyone of you ever opened one of the greak encyclopedias like Britanica or Brockhaus... and has anyone seen some commercial references. Wikipedia is too good to become just like a searchengine for anything. Not all information is worth to keep . Next time someone want to put the telphone book of NY in here ... its information too and interesting for at least some million of people ;-) Berwein 23:27, Dec 16, 2004 (UTC)
