Direct source

The first 2 sentences in the article have cited a direct source, the museum's website (source 3) WP:RS and therefore lack impartiality WP:NPOV. I'm not sure what you mean by a "direct source". If you mean a self-published source, this is allowed under policy WP:RS : "Self-published or questionable sources may be used as sources of information about themselves, especially in articles about themselves, without the requirement that they be published experts in the field, so long as the following criteria are met:

1) The material is neither unduly self-serving nor an exceptional claim..."

The statements in the lead don't seem unduly self-serving or exceptional to me and the British Museum is obviously in the best position to make a comment about its goals and the size of its collection. Identity of staff member who was fired in August 2023

To add to this article: the name of the staff member who was fired on August 16, 2023 for stealing and selling artifacts in the collection of the British Museum. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 21:49, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deprecated maps

@Murgatroyd49 Hi, pushpin maps lack a lot of metadata, additionally they are not zoomable. For other museums like Louvre Museum, this method is applied correctly. You should compare it with other museums, not with map used for other London venues. Hooman Mallahzadeh (talk) 19:17, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
