Snape

[edit]

Just wanted to say, good job on Severus Snape. I think the article has come a long way and you've been a big part of that. Friday 04:57, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Very happy to help -- really cutting my Wiki teeth on that page. Snape is a fascinating character; I'm hoping he'll become Headmaster. It's a stretch, but it's not out of reach. -- St. Chris 16:32, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciated your feedback on my (small) contribution to Severus Snape. Obviously, we agree that he's one of the most interesting characters in the series. I like your thought about Headmaster, that's hilarious. I hope Rowling doesn't blow it with the 7th book, as the untold backstory about Snape, along with his time as a Death Eater and his (obviously painful) service to Dumbledore et al. give him IMO the potential to be the real hero of the series. (ie while Harry storms around idiotically/adolescently, Snape has silently been doing much of the heavy lifting, while having everyone around him deride his contributions. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback. Kaisershatner 13:29, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I was musing, just before checking my messages here, that I am now far more interested in Snape than I am in Harry. Yes, Snape has been doing a hell of a lot behind the scenes, and now he's had to kill his master (as it were, warrior-mythos-style -- and probably his only real father figure), Dumbledore, the only person who fully trusted him and knew his true nature. By his master's own order and plea. And, right now, everyone misunderstands. I hope Rowling will opt for redemption and not tragedy. St. Chris 19:16, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
