Etymology
[edit]The word navy derived from tamil word navai (நாவாய்). — Preceding unsigned comment added by இரா.தமிழ்மாறன் (talk • contribs) 03:43, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

- The first attestation of Mycenaean Greek predates the first attestation of Tamil by 12 centuries. Ypna (talk) 01:19, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
Naval defence?
[edit]We have red links to naval defence, naval defense (possibly marine defence, marine defense). Is it a definable concept? If not, then the redirect should be done or red links to be unlinked Estopedist1 (talk) 19:35, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
Naval training
[edit]A modest gap on this page relates to naval personnel training, apprenticeships etc. It deserves at least a short paragraph under Personnel. I added a See Also to Naval Academies (list page). I wasn't in the navy so perhaps someone who was could give an historically inclusive summation. Zatsugaku (talk) 13:19, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
