Clean up
[edit]This article starts well but then turns into almost complete gibberish. Can someone please clean it up? Many thanks Supposed (talk) 06:43, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Contemporary Christian Music
[edit]Has "The belief that contemporary Christian music is evil" actually been described as legalistic? Why? 65.213.77.129 (talk) 17:51, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Homeschool
[edit]"The belief that Christian families should homeschool."
How is this a Legalistic belief? Does the Bible say Homeschool somewhere in it? What about living in community? Asperous (talk) 06:28, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Inaccurate description of Catholic teaching
[edit]The description on Catholic teaching is inaccurate and misleading. The Joint Declaration only professes we are first accepted by God by God's grace alone. In other words, Catholics believe the initiation of salvation process is by grace alone. Since this is only "initiation", it does not follow that Catholics also profess the whole salvation process of all the faithful by God's grace only.

Eastern Orthodox Churches
[edit]This section misses the point of the article. This article is about nomianism, which is where the requirements for salvation extend beyond repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. I agree that the Eastern Orthodox church does not agree with the satisfaction theory of atonement, but that theory is about what God did and not about what man is required to do. Additionally it is uncited. As a result, I am removing the section. I do not know if the Eastern Orthodox church stance is on nomianism, but that would be more appropriate than what is currently in the article. Darlig 🎸 Talk to me 16:37, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Theology in general
[edit]I noticed that the page for Sufism links here, but it's described only as a Christian theological principle. I'm not sure what edit or change is warranted by this, but it definitely seems like something that should show up on someone's radar. 2605:A601:AAAB:4200:A897:754A:18FE:6445 (talk) 18:52, 7 December 2022 (UTC)
Part of a series on Jewish Christianity?
[edit]Why is "Legalism" described narrowly as "Part of a series on Jewish Christianity" when it is a much larger issue? The issue of legalism/nomism is certainly not restricted to "Jewish Christianity." Darlig 🎸 Talk to me 15:36, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
