"Mexican American" in lead

Part 3 of WP:MOSBIO states that "Ethnicity should generally not be emphasized in the opening unless it is relevant to the subject's notability". I agree that it is notable in this case, and that is why I added "His stand-up comedy examines race relations and Mexican American culture" to the opening paragraph (WP:MOSBIO doesn't say that it has to be in the very first sentence). Simply introducing Lopez as a "Mexican American comedian and actor", on the other hand, doesn't tell me anything other than that Lopez happens to be Mexican-American. His notability as a comedian/actor is the fact that he is a Mexican-American and his act revolves around his ethnicity. There is NOTHING in the MOS that prohibits ethnicity from articles. Apparently, for whatever personal reasons of yours, you go around to different articles and remove any ethnic information from articles and claim it is against the MOS which apparently it isnt. I have noticed with some articles, you remove the informotion in a location YOU feel it doesnt belong, but you will not even place it in any other area of the article. Edit war/reverts on the Sarah Palin citation

Editors are getting hung up on the fact that title of the article/citation reads 'La Cabrona' which means bitch in Spanish. If you watch the video he does call her that. If we are going to follow WP:V, the initial words should read 'La Cabrona' with the translated words afterward. All these reverts are not WP:CIVIL. No, I think editors are getting hung up on the citing of a video snippet of a stand-up comedy routine, and using the punch-line of a joke ("special needs"), without context, as if it was somehow relevant in a living person's biography. This is not a WP:BLP issue either. George Lopez+Sarah Palin gets ghits which means it is being reported elsewhere as in this thisurl. The user, who exceeded 3RR has changed his revert reasoning from his earlier post @ 1834 hours. Now, if this was Palin's bio and not accurately sourced, that would be a BLP issue. Fortunately the removal of disputed, contentious content in obvious violation of WP:BLP is not subject to the 3RR restriction. I have put the comments into context and returned them temporarily to the article. I still do not see justification for the insertion of a comedy routine punch-line into the biography of a living person. What is it we are trying to convey about Lopez with the insertion of that one sentence? Is it a political opinion, a personal opinion of his, an example of comedy stylings? There isn't broad coverage of this joke in reliable sources, so I do not see the relevance. Unless there are any significant objections, and valid reasons for keeping it, I'll be removing it. The contentious material is indeed poorly sourced. The only present source is a short video clip of part of a stand-up comedy monologue hosted on the Fox Nation blog. There is no context, no reporting, no description of why the clip is even posted there. That is far from a "high-quality source" citation required by WP:BLP. As for a large number of people feeling Lopez is "over the line" on anything, that might be article-worthy if significant and reliably sourced and reported. Politics statement

Seems the whole section is unneccesary. His reps have said that he was in fact joking when he said he'd run for mayor. I met Erik also at the height of his career, they were filming in Redondo Beach, like pier scene or something, he signed an autographed picture, at the time I was a kid on a school field trip and did the same for all the kids with a big Estrada smile. Feuds with Joe Arpaio

George Lopez also has a beef with Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, due to the fact that Arpaio is known for his outspoken opinions on illegal immigration. Without response from the other side, it hardly counts as a feud. He's known for going on rants about people during his specials. This has no significance to be included in the feud section, barring a response from the sheriff. I do suggest that it could be included in the politics section as his views on immigration however. Radio claim on George Lopez

The article states that "In 1999, Lopez hosted a major morning radio show for Clear Channel Communications in Los Angeles. He was the first Latino to have headlined the keystone morning radio slot on an English-language station in LA — the nation’s top radio market"

This is incorrect. In 1989, Los Angeles Classical outlet KFAC switched formats and became KKBT. The first morning show host was Mexican-American comedian Paul Rodriquez.
