Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A Canadien Guide to the Maple Leafs
A Canadien Guide to the Maple Leafs was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to delete the article.
A "work of literature", we are told, by the young Mr. Hamilton (preceding VfD listing). He's in favor (why isn't it favour?) of one hockey team, and has apparently written a nyah-nyah diatribe against a rival team. Its publication consists of his uploading it to Wikisource. I don't know whether any of these statistics are appropriate for but are missing from the respective team's article. Anyone who thinks they should be incorporated has at least five days to make it happen, but we don't need a separate article on this supposed work of literature. Delete. - Delete. I expect his poorly spelled Wikisource contribution will be listed for deletion there as well. --Slowking Man 06:53, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Nothing worth saving here. jni 07:31, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- In a parallel universe, we might say that such a great author should have no trouble getting his book published, and we're enourmously grateful he's chosen to put his work on wikisource for all of humanity to share. Unfortunately, we're not in such a universe, so delete. Shane King 07:58, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete The points made in the article are appropriate but should be in the teams' articles. This appears to be a commercial attempt to arouse interest in the book. John FitzGerald 13:22, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Original research. --Improv 15:13, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. And get it off Wikisource, too. RickK 20:39, Nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
