"Inappropriate tone"
[edit]And may I ask in which fashion this article is inappropriately toned? Ravenswing 01:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Citing the current article, with some of the sentences containing inappropriate tone shown in italics: He became Tampa Bay's starting goalie in the 2005-06 NHL season and was expected to bring the same caliber to the team as he did back in 2004; however, Grahame failed to demonstrate a consistency in his playing skill, often having a shut out one night, and then letting 5 or 6 goals past him the next night [citation needed]. He is blamed by many fans for costing the Lightning a Semifinals appearance in 2006. He signed a 2 year deal worth 2.8 million dolars with the Carolina Hurricanes in July 2006. Held off-season workouts in Las Vegas this summer with his trainers Todd Floyd and Jason Toohey. John is regarded by many employees of the Palms Hotel/Casino as their favorite guest due to his down to earth fun loving attitude coupled with his extreme genorosity. The Palms also hosted his Stanley Cup victory party after winning the cup with Tampa Bay Lightning . The party is still regarded as one of the best individual cup celebrations of all time. Even socialite Paris Hilton was turned away at the door.[citation needed, not to mention it being a bizarre claim to put into a biographical article/stub]

Needs strong cleanup / rewrite
[edit]This is not one of the better athlete biography / hockey articles I've reviewed on Wikipedia. Not only is it written with inappropriate tone or point of view repeatedly, it has zero citations as to where facts originated or to back up its assertions which may or may not be factual in nature, and is poorly written with some distinct grammatical errors.
It could be much improved by giving more actual biographical information, such as a listing of statistics, info on his junior, college, and minor hockey career, and more about his background (where he was born, grew up, etc) and/or list of accomplishments as a player.
