Zero Google hits. RickK 21:34, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Redirect to metropolitan area (or possibly United States metropolitan area). This region is also called "Chicagoland", "ChiPitts", or the "Midwest Megalopolis" - depending on the scale you are talking about. No one term is correct or established, but a redirect will make it less likely to be re-created. -- Netoholic @ 21:51, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- I don't know anybody from Chicago who'd deign to let Milwaukee be a part of their metro area name, and I don't know anybody from Milwaukee who'd want Chicago horning in on their name either. While Google isn't authoritative, zero hits seems to indicate nobody's using it anyway. Delete Spatch 21:55, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- I lived there for 14 years and never once heard the term, and neither has Google. Delete. Antandrus 21:56, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, since the term is not being used (according to both google and people from the area). Andris 22:10, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete; don't redirect. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk)]] 23:48, Sep 8, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: It's just plain nuts to make this is a redirect. I'm sorry, but I can't see any way whatsoever, no matter how hard I try, any sense in making this a redirect. It's a single sentence without meaning. I'd have said this is a speedy delete, in fact. Chicago and Milwaukee as a megalopolis? That's nonsense, and making it a redirect would be reason to bring back the inanity template. Geogre 00:36, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, I also lived there for a little bit (2 yrs) and can't imagine anyone willing to treat the two as a consolidated area. -Vina 00:38, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, I lived in Madison, Wisconsin for a decade and never, never, never heard the phrase Chicagowaukee, not even once. Chicagoland, all the time. ChiPitts, very occasionally, in the context of "the megalopolises: ChiPitts, BosWash, and..." what was the third? I heard references to Dubuqueland (for the region around Dubuque, Iowa) occasionally. Chicagowaukee, never. And zero Google hits is impressive. (Before the VfD period is over, Google will probably have a handful of hits to this article on Wikipedia and its mirrors...) - Delete. Unverifiable neologism. — Gwalla | Talk 21:12, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: I've lived in the general area my entire life and never once heard this term. - RedWordSmith 23:09, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
