Grunderlings are a race of pygmies recently discovered living in isolated parts of Antarctica. It is believed they are descendants of the Mayan society, answering one of the great sociological mysteries. They probably migrated over an ice bridge during the last ice age.

Like most aboriginal cultures, they use the bones, skins, and feathers of local animals for tools and clothing--in this case, of course, that means penguins. They also use penguin dung for fuel.
