Commonwealth Corps
[edit]Grant65 asked, "How could newly-formed Aust and Canadian divs have been part of British X Corps?"
I figure they were assigned to a pre-existing organization, the name of which was changed to fit. Checking the histories of the UK X Corps, Lt. Gen. Charles F. Kneightley, and the British 3rd Infantry Division ought to tell.

Rename ?
[edit]Why is this article called 'Orders of battle for Downfall'? Surely it should be called 'Orders of battle for Operation Downfall'.
This would bring it into line with other 'orders of battle' articles, agree with the opening sentence of this article and not lead readers on a wild goose chase towards the film Downfall (Der Untergang).

Rank abbreviations
[edit]I propose to change rank abbreviations to reflect accuracy (USA: GEN not Gen, USN: ADM not Adm). Comments, questions, suggestions? Bullmoosebell (talk) 03:29, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
