User talk:The Inedible Bulk
I came up with the name The Inedible Bulk when needing a good name for some forums. It was, obviously, a highly edited version of The Incredible Hulk.
There Inc
[edit]Are There, Inc. and Second Life really necessary? --Brockert 02:46, Apr 11, 2004 (UTC)
- They were linked from the There page, There, Inc. that is. I usually create things linked from a page, but if it's a problem, please feel free to remove the page for There, Inc., and in doing so, remove the link from There as well. Second Life is directly related to There, it's like Macintosh to Windows. --TIB 04:32, Apr 11, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RichardKyanka-PressPhoto.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Moral Character article
[edit]I'm very sorry if I upset you. I appologize. I was RC patroling for vandalism and came across the edit. It looked to me to be blanking.
- From WP:VAND:
- Blanking
- Removing all or significant parts of articles (sometimes replacing the removed content with profanities) is a common vandal edit.
- Blanking
In trying to maintain NPOV, I was not comparing the bulk of the article to my moral compass or judging it in any way, shape or form. Is it not suspicious when an anon editor removes a large chunk of an article and all the edit summary says is "Garbage"? Sorry for the inconvenience. thadius856talk 09:32, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Image:RichardKyanka-PressPhoto.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:RichardKyanka-PressPhoto.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add Replaceable fair use disputed
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok ☠ 18:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Proposed Deletion: Therebucks
[edit]I've added the "prod" template to the article Therebucks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Therebucks. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Dangerfield.1997.ap.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Dangerfield.1997.ap.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Dangerfield.1997.ap.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:57, 22 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 05:57, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Repost of Category:Clothes-free Wikipedians
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Clothes-free Wikipedians, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Clothes-free Wikipedians was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Clothes-free Wikipedians, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Gut-wrenching Scream And Fall Into Distance
[edit]Hi, thanks for your message reference this article. As you can see from the AFD - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gut-wrenching Scream And Fall Into Distance - there was a clear consensus that the article failed the WP:Verifiability policy and the WP:Notability guideline. The article lacked any coverage in reliable sources and no one found any during the AFD. Significant coverage in reliable sources is what establishes notability for wikipedia, not any other reason. I hope this explains the reason for the deletion.
If you feel you can find such coverage in reliable sources I would be happy to userfy the article to your userspace for you to add it, or you could just create a new article which meets the notability guideline. You are of course welcome to take my deletion to WP:Deletion Review if you feel my closure of the AFD was incorrect. Davewild (talk) 21:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Scoutmob
[edit]A tag has been placed on Scoutmob, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:30, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Cutaway gag redirecting to Family Guy
[edit]I've redirected cutaway gag to Family Guy because editors were including FG and other cartoons on Cutaway (filmmaking). I'm not familiar enough with Family Guy to start a cutaway gag article, but I think one should be created since it appears to be pivotal to FG and other shows like it. I would have classed it as a comic device rather than a genre, though. Am86 (talk) 17:03, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
The article Ultravox (software) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable project; appears to describe an attempt some years back to launch a product (perhaps using Wikipedia as advertising), which did not succeed. Official site and only inline ref both dead links.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:38, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
