For once, I have no problem with seeing no explication of a poem. It's Ambrose Philips, after all (enemy of Pope, some fine pastorals for a little while). I wikified the thing. It would be nice if it had the date of composition in it. Move it to Wikisource. Geogre 22:26, 11 Jul 2004 (UTC)
I do think this page has right to exist. Wikepedia is an Encyclopedia and this Ode, as many other poems and classic canata's, has a clear and distinct historical meaning. Maybe a rename to Ode for the birthday of Queen Anne would be better!

I'm not sure I understand. Are you suggesting that the header of it be moved over to the Hanel piece, as a link to the Wikisource of the text? I do think there are a couple of things to say about the text, but not many, so it's left as kind of flat text. I'm in favor of having a link from the Handel piece, but not moving it all there. As their were a number of links to the article (it's a relatively important secular cantata) i've moved it to a proper article name (Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne) and fixed the other articles Handel, Queen Anne, and Ode to point to the right place. The text remains in the history, though I will have in a moment removed it from the article. If someone would transwiki the text that would be appreciated.--Samuel J.
