Lack of critical section in the article.

Whilst the article does touch on Mr Babbitt support for government control of the landscape (although it manages to present this as a positive thing), there is not critical section on his time of Governor of Arizona. Then Governor Babbitt's tax increases (described as "brave" by the msm) and his putting of Arizona (the last State that was still independent of it) into the unsustainable Medicare scheme. 94.3.50.243 (talk) 21:20, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to point out the error re Bruce E. Babbitt's birth place. He was born in Los Angesles and not Flagstaff. His father Paul was a graduate of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles and at the time of Bruce's birth, his father was working in Los Angeles. They moved back to Flagstaff when Bruce was very young.

Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt: "Oil and coal companies in the United States have joined in a conspiracy to hire pseudoscientists to deny the facts, and then begin raising political arguments that are essentially fraudulent. . . . Energy companies need to be called to account because what they're doing is un-American in the most basic sense. They are compromising our future by misrepresenting the facts by suborning scientists onto their payrolls and attempting to mislead the American people." [1]

Could the paragraph about Babbitt's role in the ski resort be reduced to a sentence or two? Consider the sentences reading, "At the trial, Babbitt will be arguing against numerous Native American tribes and environmental groups." Though this may be factually accurate, the paragraphs only considers the "cost" side of evaluating Babbitt's behavior. -JH

Much of this article is not from a NPOV. It seems to have been written primarily by environmentalists who disagree with Babbitt. While I share in their concern, the POV doesn't fit with Wikipedia standards. I propose eliminating much of the article and re-writing those portions that seem biased. Please dicuss before I make any changes. I'll give it a few weeks.Tony 13:45, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with your assessment, although it may just need cleaning rather than eliminating. Good luck. Cory.willis 21:15, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the non-NPOV material was at the end of the article. It appeared, however, that the person who wrote the non-NPOV material "set up" their slam of Babbit by inserting seemingly minor facts about speeches that he gave into the body of the article. Therefore, I eliminated those facts and cleaned up the end. I think the new version acknowledges that he has received criticisms for his private sector work, but isn't just one big set up to slam him. If anyone has any suggestions or improvements, let's discuss. Tony 17:17, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the Arizona State Attorney General title box on top of Babbitt's governor title, but I need help with it being adjusted though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 725edwards (talkcontribs) 22:28, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
