S v Romanov, here are some responses to your concerns about the Holocaust page.

1. . Diesel fuel was used in Chelmno and in the early days of Belzec but it was found to be costly and replaced with Zyklon B. Auschwitz and Sobibor used Zyklon B. (I am working from memory here, but check out Arad, Operation Reinhard).
2. You are right in some way about the killings. Mass killings began by the Einsatzgruppen imediately following the invasion of the Soviet Union. Wannsee occurred some six months later. When the official order came is subject to debate, however, Wannsee was important in making this official Nazi policy for Europe and organizing the logistics. For instance, the Jews of occupied Western Europe (France, Netherlands, etc.) had not been subject to extermination until then.
3. The numbers game. Hilberg is unquestionably the foremost authority, and yes, he says 5.1. However, he did not have access to all the information that later historians had. Personally, I find the numbers game rather odious, and do not think we will ever really know how many people died. I can live with 5-6, but I wonder why you would not like to use the higher numbers that are touted around recently, such as 7 (based on previously unobtainable records from the Soviet Union). I may not accept the higher number, and I think 6 has become too much of a mantra, but for the sake of fairness, you might want to consider them--or do numbers only go down.
4. I agree with you about the distinction between deniers and revisionists.
5. If you are the same person adding the info about Sobibor, I would like to see some documentation.
