User talk:SS~enwiki
Hello SS~enwiki and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Anagrams
[edit]Teehee. The note you left on User:Theresa Knott's talkpage was hilarious. :) Lacrimosus 10:14, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- I thought so :) -- SS 16:08, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Citizens of the World
[edit]Howdy! I'm happy with your "inclusive" edits to Wikipedia:Wikipedians/World Citizen - so you can now surely join us! (By the way, changes to this page get you a "You have new messages" message, whereas changes to your User page don't.) Kind regards. Robin Patterson 01:19, 17 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Yes, I probably will add myself. I'm not sure what I'm waiting for. I did know about the "You have new messages" message, but thanks for mentioning it anyway in case I didn't. I do have my User page on my watchlist, which is manageable at the moment. I want people to use my user page to say things about me, and use my talk page to say things to me. -- SS 02:52, 17 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Secant
[edit]- So if the name of the secant line comes from the Latin "to cut", where does the name of the secant function come from? -- SS 18:20, 29 Aug 2004 (UTC)
The same place. These two concepts of secant are related; I've now added an explanation to the article titled secant. Michael Hardy 22:00, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
World Citizen userbox, {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}}
[edit]Hi, I noticed the message saying you're a World Citizen, I would like to invite you to add {{User:1ne/Userboxes/User world}} to your user page if you wish to proclaim it in a more effective way, and this template will also add you automatically to the Wikipedians with World Citizenship category. :) --Mistress Selina Kyle 23:54, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
Userpage
[edit]Your userpage has been identified as an awesome userpage by MediaWiki message delivery. What a great idea to have others make your userpage! benzband (talk) 16:49, 27 January 2012 (UTC) Feel free to display this on your userpage using {{awesome userpage}} . |

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called SS. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name SS~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
