Inquiring about deletion of the article "Task Force to Overcome Racism in Topeka"
I'm not seeing a lot of advocates making themselves available in regard to the article referenced above. It is possible to find secondary sources on this topic but it will require research in the newspaper library of the Topeka Capitol Journal. The organization did exist, albeit for a short time. It did have an impact on the community of Topeka which would be evidenced by a greater awareness of the impact racism was having on life in that community. There are no other references to this organization on the web in part because the web did not exist during the time this organization was in existence. There is another organization that was a collaborator with TFORT called Concerned Citizens for Equal Justice. A short description of this group also was written but it has been deleted as well.
Wikipedia can try to be like the Encyclopedia Britannica or other authorized compendium of history. Or it can be an alternative that allows a number of voices to be heard. My impression is that the collective wisdom is tilted toward the former. TFORT was an important organization. The story about it needs to be told.
