[edit]I added Nestlé as the maker of Violet Crumble. Strangely, I can't find Violet Crumble either as a listed product or by searching on Nestlé's US[1] or Australian[2] webistes. However, in the photo on this page[3] (specifically [4]), "Nestlé" is clearly visible on the wrapper. SCEhardt 20:47, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- And in 2018, Nestle divested. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.187.243.156 (talk) 11:09, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

Violet Hoadley
[edit]My wife's family tradition is that her grandmother (now deceased, born 1901) went to school with the two daughters of Abel Hoadley. Their names were Violet and Polly, hence Violet Crumble and Polly Waffle. Sadly I dont have a way of independently confirming this wonderful story. 60.242.50.195 20:52, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not true. From http://adb.anu.edu.au/biography/hoadley-abel-6687 : "the Violet Crumble, named by Mrs Abel Hoadley after her favourite flower." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.20.69.209 (talk) 02:53, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
Packaging
[edit]Can someone come up with a better description here? More info, less specialness please. It sounds like an advertorial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.178.72.37 (talk) 22:18, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Shattering
[edit]In Australia the wrapper says "It's the way it shatters that matters" but I think in some US states (e.g. California) you can find it with "The Great Australian Bite" in its place. --202.168.39.41 (talk) 01:31, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Tense usage
[edit]The article uses a mixture of past and present tenses for the confection, but I purchased one today. Does this imply that the present tense should be used throughout? pipeline (talk) 04:17, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
