What I do for a living and how I got there?

I took my Bachelor's degree in electronics & communication engineering from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology (ACCET), Karaikudi, south India in 2000. ACCET is one of the first technical colleges to start up in India and one of the top ranked in south India.

My first work was in electronics. I teamed up with a few of my friends and we offered design services to a few instrumentation and security appliances companies. After a two year tryst with electrons, the urge to answer my inner call (at that point of time) - to enter into finance - became pervasive. That was hardly probable back then, because I had no formal qualification or training in finance. Then came Irevna.

It was a Wednesday and there was this advertisement in Times Ascent (the careers supplement of Times of India). It sounded as THE ONE I was searching for - Irevna said any graduate can apply. And I did. And it proved to be one of the best (and to date, the only one that worked as expected)decisions in my life.

I was initially hesistant about my prospects of getting selected. The written test was on the lines of Common Admission Test (CAT) for the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). It helped that I had earlier cleared CAT (I hadn't cleared the interviews though). It also helped I had some basic knowledge about economics. So I joined Irevna in November 2003.
